Hermod (Old Norse Hermóðr) name means either war-split, warrior, or fury of war. Hermod is the son of the all-father Odin and the Goddess Frigg. When Baldur was killed he was the only one brave enough to ride to Hel and try and bring Baldur back from the dead.
